In the last few years, thin cutting discs - from 0,8 to 2 mm - have become more and more popular and are widely used today.

Therefore, OMES developed a new range of thinner pressed flat or center-depressed aluminum baking disks compared to the traditional aluminum casted baking plates. Thanks to these innovative plates, the customer is able to optimize his baking cycles by adding a higher percentage of cutting discs in respect to aluminum plates, with consistent benefits during this phase of production.

Obviously, OMES is also able to manufacture traditional casted baking plates on its CN turning machines, with different sort of finishing: spiraled, squared and smooth. Prior to machining activ- ities, all casted plates manufactured by OMES are heat treated in order to avoid any bubbles as possible defect of the raw material.

According to customer’s needs, the aluminum plates can be manufactured in several alloys, depending on whether the customer needs to add preventive detaching treatments on them.

OMES actual baking disks production is around 200.000 pcs/year for pressed disks and 100.000 pcs/year for classic casted.
